417 staffer shoots for New York Times
There's a neat nod to 417-land culture in the New York Times today, which is exciting enough; but we've got extra reason to read it. We're proud as punch that our own staff photographer, Kevin O'Riley, was called quite out of the blue last month and asked to shoot freelance for the Times, which was working on this story about cashew chicken and its roots in Springfield. The work consisted of two food shoots (at Canton Inn and Heritage Cafeteria) and some photos of David and Wing Leong. David is credited with creating the crispy-fried-chicken-and-sauce version of the dish.
Kevin says the Times found him through is work with GO Magazine and 417. So, to any advertisers out there, Google finds our company's websites... just so you know.
Here's a link to the article online.
Congrats, Kev!
