News is light this morning, though we've got some interesting things coming your way later, so let us remind you that there's a new classy hangout in Springfield, miles from the downtown grind: It's at Houlihan's (in/connected to the Doubletree Hotel at Glenstone and Kearney), where the appetizers are only $6, the TVs are Hi-Def (the better to watch basketball on, my dear) and the jazz is fun without being overwhelming. The music is courtesy of Kristi Meredith, whom you may recognize from frequent gigs at Brew Co. and other local nightspots.
