The Oak Ridge Boys get hip
Pretty cool stuff from the Oak Ridge Boys, who have a theatre and are frequent peformers in Branson: the country group will be featured in an interview at the über-hip South by Southwest Music Conference and Festival later this month.
Known more among the younger musical set as a massive celebration of emerging artists (and a pub crawl of epic proportions), the Oak Ridge Boys will be on hand to share expertise with those emerging artists. The group's biggest hit, "Elvira" lives on decades after its release (see video below). Registrants will even receive a free pair of Oak Ridge Boys Magnum sunglasses. Pretty sweet, huh? The South By Southwest Music & Media Conference takes place March 18 - 22, 2009 at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas.
