Hot Husband Finalist: Skip Motsenbocker
Every weekday through Friday, May 30 we'll be unveiling our Hot Husbands finalists (in no particular order) one-by-one here at the 417 Blog. The purpose? To let you gradually get acquainted with the men you'll be voting on beginning June 1 in our first-ever Hot Husbands contest. You'll vote the 20 finalists down to our 10 Hot Husband winners, to be presented in the September issue of 417 Magazine. So of course we want you to have the information you need to make the best choices—though you can't go wrong with any of these guys.
Skip Motsenbocker, 40
Town: Springfield
Occupation: Managing Director & Chief Marketing Officer of SignalPoint Investment
Family: Skip is married to Tanja Kern and has two children, 17-year-olds Ashley and Brandon Motsenbocker
Why he’s great: Since moving to Springfield from San Diego less than two years ago, Skip has involved himself in local organizations that give back to the community, the environment and local children. Those include the Child Advocacy Center, United Way, Partnership for Sustainability, Community Foundation of the Ozarks and more. “Here in Springfield, I feel very fortunate to be involved with the CAC organization. And while it is such a disappointment that there’s a need for an organization such as this, they do such a good job helping children at their greatest time of need.”
Hobbies: “My single greatest indulgence is riding motorcycles. Ever since I was a kid riding my bicycle, I’ve enjoyed the motion of two wheels. As an adult, I find it provides me the temporary escape that is needed to provide clarity and truly a fresh perspective without the distractions that seem to constantly swirl around.”
Why he’s a Hot Husband? “Simply stated, my wife nominated me.”
