A handful of 417 and GO Magazine staffers got a glimpse of downtown's shiny new movie theater yesterday at a public-officials and media luncheon. It's quite the facility. The 14 movie houses all have high-backed, full-rocking seats with retractable armrest/cupholders and wall-to-wall digital screens that are super sharp. The lobby, while not as expansive as the one at Campbell 16, is quite modern looking, and the snack bar (also not ginormous) is also equipped with all the usual trappings.
The theater opens Friday night. Tickets are $9 for adults. The only bugaboo might be parking—you can park for free in either of the parking garages—College Station or the Heer's garage—but you'll need to get your ticket validated at the theater (there's a machine that does it for you). Then show your ticket when you leave the garage to avoid a charge.
Here are some photos of the inside of the theater.

More photos as we can get to them.
