It's high time for a country Christmas

It's high time for a country Christmas

Baby, it’s cold outside. We got a taste of winter weather this week, so you might as well get into the holiday spirit (you may not be ready, but the rest of 417-land apparently is–Christmas music is already on both 105.1 and 105.9).

Where better to overdose on holiday cheer than in Branson? For a nativity performance, head to the Sight & Sound Theatre’s Miracle of Christmas, complete with flying angels and live animals. Check out sight-sound.com for more details and to buy tickets.

After the show, ooh and ahh in your car at the Branson Area Festival of Lights Drive-Thru, just off Shepherd of the Hills Expressway and Roark Valley Road. The one-mile drive features more than 175 displays. Your kids will love it, and it’s okay to admit you love it, too. Go to explorebranson.com/christmas for more details.

Of course, no Branson holiday experience is complete without a trip to Silver Dollar City’s An Old Time Christmas. This beloved event, with its four million lights, five-story Christmas tree and a production of A Dickens’ Christmas Carol, will put even the Scroogiest member of your family in the holiday spirit. Go to bransonsilverdollarcity.com for more info.

If Branson isn’t your cup of tea, then head to Hermann this weekend for the Holiday Fare Wine Trail. This Saturday and Sunday, you can eat and drink your way into a festive mood. A limited number of tickets are available, however, so get yours now–call 800-932-8687 to order. More details can be found at hermannwinetrail.com.
