Team Edward has another outlet in 417-land
Good news from Branson: The Branson Meadows Cinema, a six-screen theater that closed a couple of months ago, has re-opened under the management of the Branson IMAX Entertainment group. The theater opened today—just in time for what's expected to be the biggest movie of the year, Twilight: New Moon. This adds 11 screens to the three first-run screens operated at the IMAX complex (which includes some non-Hollywood IMAX-size screens as well).
Good news!

IMAX Complex Announces the Reopening of the Branson Meadows Cinema
Branson, Missouri – November 19, 2009 – Branson’s IMAX Entertainment announces the reopening of the Branson Meadows Cinema, tomorrow – Friday, November 20.
“We are incredibly excited to return to Branson a wider movie selection,” says Paul Rasmussen, President of the IMAX Entertainment Complex. “The Meadows Cinema is a wonderful addition to our IMAX Entertainment Complex family and patrons can expect the same exemplary level of customer service and commitment to excellence that you’ll find throughout our other endeavors.”
The 11-screen multiplex has been closed since September 25, when previous operator, Novacinetech closed their doors.
“Though we’ve always maintained that the Elite Cinema III offers customers the best movie-going experience in Southwest Missouri, having only three movie screens for thousands of locals and millions of visitors simply wasn’t enough,” says Becky Blair, Director of Advertising, Marketing & Sales. “The loss was felt immediately by our entire community.”
Branson Meadows Cinema will reopen tomorrow afternoon showing The Twilight Saga: New Moon, Couples Retreat, 2012, Blind Side and Michael Jackson’s This is It.
“We’ve already been questioned about ‘Bring Your Own Bag’ popcorn Tuesdays and special events for kids,” says Blair. “And we have every intention of continuing those special offers, in some variation that upholds the standards we keep within the IMAX organization. As soon as we have all the details, we’ll be certain to spread the word.”
