October 10: Walk, run for good causes today
Want to help cure cancer AND AIDS today? Sure, who doesn’t? Join the Sunshine Run or the AIDS Walk today and you’ll have your chance. The Sunshine Run is set for 7:30 a.m. at Hammons Field, and benefits the St. John’s Burn Center as well as the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks ($20 adult, $10 12 and under). If you don’t run, you can still enjoy the carnival atmosphere downtown. The AIDS Walk is at 9 a.m. at Phelps Grove Park. It’s a two-mile walk and free to attend, though donations are welcome. It benefits the AIDS Project of the Ozarks.
