About This Event
Come celebrate Easter on Sunday, April 1st at Hammons Field for the 13th annual Greater Springfield Easter Sunrise Celebration. Volunteers from area churches and the staff at Hammons Field welcome all who wish to participate in this interdenominational community event.
The gates at Hammons Field will open at 6:00 a.m., Sunday, April 1st and the service will begin at 6:30 a.m. Events will include music, prayer, testimonials, and worship. Sunrise will be at 6:59 a.m. Prior to the service, Salvation Army will be on hand with complimentary coffee and hot chocolate for all attendees.
The Easter Sunrise Celebration always begins with a group of area musicians called the Triumphant Trumpeters to kick off this celebration of Christ’s resurrection. The featured speaker this year will be Beth Grant, of Project Rescue.
This interdenominational community event is open to all who want to celebrate Easter in the beautiful outdoors. In case of rain, the service will be held indoors at the Springfield Cardinals training facility at Hammons Field.
Parking will be free at Hammons Field for this event.
