About This Event


The Cat in the Hat is coming back! Join Ozarks Public Television for the 8th Annual Seuss Science Day at the Discovery Center on Saturday, February 16th. The day will include Dr. Seuss story times, special science demonstrations, and meet and greet opportunities with the Cat in the Hat!

This special day offers reduced admission of $7 per person, and children 2 and under are free. OPT Kids Club members also get in free! Learn more and join today at optv.org.

The Discovery Center is located at 438 E. St. Louis St in downtown Springfield.

This year’s story time titles include:
Mr. Brown Can Moo! Can You? at 10:00 am and 1:00 pm
Fox in Socks at 10:30 am and 1:30 pm
Green Eggs and Ham at 11:00 am & 2:00 pm
The Sneetches at 11:30 am & 2:30 pm

Science activities taking place throughout the day
Discovery Center exhibits open all day
Special science demonstrations relating to the stories

The Cat in the Hat will be making appearances throughout the day, beginning at 10:15 am
