Join us for the Silver Strands Celebration honoring Dr. Missy Lucas in appreciation for her contributions to special education benefiting children with developmental disabilities in our community. Proceeds benefit Friends of Abilities First. Cocktails and Hors d'oeuvres at 6:00pm. Dinner at 7:00 pm. Dr. Lucas is the Assistant Director of Special Services at Springfield Public Schools. Past honorees have included Michael White, Roseann Bentley, and Rachel Heinz. Silver Strands Celebration honors citizens who have made a positive impact on our community for people with developmental disabilities. Proceeds from Silver Strands Celebration benefit Friends of Abilities First, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that assists with needs and expenses incurred by people with developmental disabilities in our community.
