A one-day, 8.5-hour workshop, providing law enforcement and fire protection agencies
with the information necessary to utilize UAS as a daily asset and an integral component
of public safety agencies.
This workshop will cover the following areas of information, as they apply to public safety agencies, such as law enforcement and fire protection:
-Overview of what UAS can do for public safety agencies
-Law enforcement and fire agencies utilizing UAS in the U.S.
-Situations and events where UAS can make a difference
-The benefits of UAS for public safety agencies and the cost analysis
-Hardware and software that can make it all happen
-The hard costs of adding UAS to your team
-The extra costs such as instruction and licensing
-The FAA rules and regulation regarding UAS commercially
-FAA, 14 CFR, Part 107 requirements, and overview of examination
-Insurance, licensing and registration
-FAA authorizations and waivers
-Maintenance, flight logs
