Visit some of the most amazing rock formations in the area with 37 North Expeditions. Elephant Rocks State Park is named after its awe-inspiring trunk-to-tail gigantic pink granite boulders appearing to the top of the hill like a train of circus elephants. This unique rock formation was created 1.5 billion years ago by lava being pushed to the surface in the most unique and beautiful was possible. It is a simple 1.5 mile hike amazing for families and adults. After the hike, head to another location of breathtaking rock formations: Johnson’s Shut-Ins State Park. This swimming hole is a jewel within Missouri. Here, you'll swim and play in the East Fork of the Black River.
