About This Event

Bring the whole family to walk Gardens Aglow, a botanical-themed light festival in the Mizumoto Japanese Stroll Garden at the Springfield Botanical Gardens, 2400 S. Scenic Ave., Springfield, Mo. The second annual event runs from 5-8:30 p.m. on November 27-29; December 4-6, 11-13, 18-23, 26-27; and January 2-3. Admission is $5 per adult and $2 for children 12 and younger.

More than 100,000 festive lights accent the unique structures and landscaping of the Stroll Garden and capture the winter beauty of nature. Light features include RGB lights, a light tunnel, firecracker lights, framed installations, up lighting and string lights.

Cozy up to a fire pit and purchase hot beverages and treats from food vendors. Buy a commemorative Gardens Aglow mug to receive a discount on refills all season.

Purchase season passes at friendsofthegarden.org/aglow to “fast pass” your entry to the event. Season passes (memberships) start at $35 with Friends of the Garden and $25 with Springfield Sister Cities Association, and they make great holiday gifts.

Help bring this new holiday tradition to the community by volunteering or sponsoring. Learn more and sign up at friendsofthegarden.org/aglow.

In accordance with the city-wide mandate, ages 12 and older are required to wear face coverings; children ages 3-11 are strongly encouraged to wear face coverings. Physical distancing is required.

Light features were made possible by Rosalie O’Reilly Wooten, Commerce Bank, Iris Society of the Ozarks, Ozark Daylily Society, Ozarks Regional Lily Society and Springfield Area Herb Society with support from Heavy Metal Christmas.

Gardens Aglow is brought to you by the Springfield-Greene County Park Board, Friends of the Garden and Springfield Sister Cities Association.
