In conjunction with her limited-run show “Midwest Materials,” award-winning photographer Julie Blackmon will be on-site at her pop-up gallery in Downtown Bentonville to sign copies of her most recent monograph, Homegrown, which includes 40 works made from 2009-2014, an interview of the artist by Academy Award winning actress Reese Witherspoon, as well as an insightful introduction by the renowned poet Billy Collins.
Many of the images featured in Homegrown (Radius Press co-published with Robert Mann Gallery, 2014), will be on display as part of “Midwest Materials,” along with a collection of Blackmon’s newest works. The impromptu gallery is open Thursdays through Sundays, from 12-8 p.m., until July 28th.
The signing takes place at 102 East Central Avenue, Bentonville, Arkansas 72712 on July 21st from 1-4 p.m. This event is open to the public. Books will be available for purchase.
For additional information and press materials, contact the gallery by telephone (212.989.7600) or by email (firstname.lastname@example.org).
