About This Event

Join us for a trip to our sister city in Tlaquepaque, Mexico! Enjoy accommodations at a beautiful boutique bed and breakfast, visit with local artists and musicians, attend exclusive receptions and parties, and view millions of monarch butterflies at one of their overwintering sites – all in the great company of fellow culture- and garden-lovers.

This trip is organized in partnership with Springfield Sister Cities Association which has fostered relationships in Tlaquepaque for more than 15 years. This adventure will be unlike any other; as an ambassador of Springfield, you will experience rich traditions and meaningful friendships beyond the reach of ordinary travelers. Appreciation, goodwill, patience and love are essential qualities in our ambassadors.

Space is limited and spots are filled on a first come, first served basis. Reserve your spot as soon as possible or learn more by contacting FOG Development Director Lisa Bakerink at lbakerink@springfieldmo.gov or 417-864-1341.
