Join us for the opening reception of, "Sublime/ Subliminal" by Lil Olive! Lil's relationship with nature is imperative within this collection of work. Having lived in the Ozarks for most of her life, Lil engages in an ongoing dialogue with nature, sometimes even hiding text in the landscapes she depicts. Her view is at once romantic and melancholic as she considers nature’s uncertain future. Surreal elements emerge as she combines representation with the imaginary; flowers seem to dance, birds seek love, trees ask us to look. Her paintings deepen her relationship with landscape—and the more her reverence grows, the more sacred that connection becomes.

The evening will be filled with art and cheer! As you view our three levels of art, enjoy live music by Tuba artist, Ralph Hepola, and enjoy complimentary refreshments and Holiday treats.
