SGF Urban Summit

About This Event

The Urban Summit is for creators and restorers within urban Springfield, to hear and share stories, to be encouraged, and to (re)ignite dreams that contribute to a thriving city. The Summit is going to include a great line-up of people who will be sharing stories of insight, encouragement, and action.

Headlining the Summit is Jonathan Brooks. Jonathan is a pastor, author, and rapper from the south side of Chicago. Jonathan has a story about how he wanted to escape a certain place, but when he responded to the Lord’s call, he began to contribute to a good and beautiful community, where people flourish.

There is much to celebrate about Springfield and the people who call this home. While we celebrate, we know there are those who find themselves on the outside, wanting to experience a good and beautiful community as well. We know there are dreams that have been buried, put on the back burner, or snuffed out through choices or circumstances.
