About This Event
Nothing can be better than a sunset hike, haunted campfire, and s’mores surrounded by the beautiful Ozarks! Our afternoon will start with an incredible 2.5 mile hike through Withrow Springs State Park, featuring a cave, springs, a bluff, and a breathtaking view of War Eagle Creek. On the way back, we will stop at a campground where Todd Wilkinson from the James River Basin Partnership will share some stories from Vance Randolph’s Ozark Magic and Folklore book, where magic and history come together for a perfect campfire experience. We will make s’mores and enjoy this Halloween fall night together then head back to Springfield.
For participants age 10 and older. Registration includes transportation to and from Springfield or Bentonville, expert guide, campfire experience and s'mores. This hike does include a narrow section not recommended for people with balance issues.
Pick up locations: Meet at 12:45 at Farmers Park (Springfield) or 3 pm at Bike Rack Brewing Company (Bentonville).
