About this Event

Explore Springfield’s urban streams with the James River Basin Partnership on Saturday, May 18th. We’ll be showcasing the South Creek Restoration Project, as well as highlighting the restored riparian corridor on Wilson’s Creek. Learn your watershed address, partake in the “Benthic Boogie”, and get an up close look at the critters that inhabit our local streams with volunteers from Missouri Stream Team. Bring the family to take part in a scavenger hunt for a chance to win fabulous prizes, including gift cards and a framed copy of our James River Explorers Guide. So come join us to stretch your legs, enjoy our beautiful Greenway Trails, and learn about local waterways.

Funding for this project was provided by The Environmental Protection Agency Region 7 through a MO Department of Natural Resources under Section 319 of the Clean Water Act.
