“I wish I looked younger!” It’s a universal desire for women. Currently, men are also interested. What’s available when we’re not ready to investigate the options with a knife? Dr. M. Nanette Crighton at Crighton Aesthetic Studio suggests first considering a liquid face lift.
Liquid face lifts are becoming the preferred treatment for many women who want to restore youthfulness. Volume is lost from the face over time in the skin, fat pads and bone. Using fillers to restore the volume in cheeks, temples, marionette lines and nasolabial folds can take years off the face. Botulinum toxin A can soften wrinkles in the forehead, between the eyebrows, and around the eyes and mouth. By using the two products together, the appearance can be enhanced without a single incision.
While surgery is the only option to correct some problems (eyelids that interfere with peripheral vision), a liquid face lift can effectively restore a youthful face at a fraction of the cost of a surgical face lift with minimal down time. “But be aware,” says Dr. Crighton, “it usually takes three to five syringes to completely restore lost facial volume, and it is imperative that you choose a knowledgeable and experienced injector to do the work for you.”
