GYN Cancers Alliance is based in 417-land and serves a 22-county region. GYNCA provides four core services to women battling a gynecologic cancer: Survivor-to-Survivor Mentoring, New Hope Support Group Meetings, Education/Awareness Initiatives and Emergency Non-Medical Financial Assistance. This comprehensive approach is unlike any other organization in the United States. Last year, more than $80,000 in emergency assistance was provided to women right here in the Ozarks.
GYNCA hopes to help end the stigma surrounding the use of the words “vagina and ovaries,” so women are able to “Start the Conversation” about their gynecologic health. The words “breasts and boobs” seem to be easy for both men and women to discuss. With early detection being the key for best recovery and survival outcomes, we must START THE CONVERSATION!
