Hallie Kilavos and Michael Danner were married on April 25, 2015 at Stonegate Glass Chapel. The couple first met while attending Evangel University.
Michael Danner met Hallie Kilavos on their first day of Essential Christianity class at Evangel University. “I asked if anyone planned on attending church that evening,” Hallie says. Michael asked if he could join her because he didn’t have a car. She said yes, and later that evening, the two headed to James River Assembly. “I ended up being really awkward about the whole thing, and I told him that I was dating someone,” Hallie says. “Needless to say I didn’t leave the greatest impression. We didn’t really cross paths again for the next two years.”
Hallie was a junior in college when Michael came back into her life. “He was a senior,” she says. “I had accepted a resident assistant role and moved to the north side of campus adjacent to Michael’s dorm.” The two had three classes together, and they worked together in the communications department. They began to talk at work, and Michael eventually asked Hallie to the university’s fall HarvestFest. She said yes, and the two attended as James Bond and the Bond girl from the 007 Nintendo 64 game.
Three years later, Michael was back in town for his family reunion. “He took a half day off so we could have a date night that evening after I finished work,” Hallie says. The couple drove to Branson for the evening, but Hallie didn’t know about any plans. He took her to the lake, eventually pulling into the parking lot of the Branson Belle, which is where they shared their first kiss. “In between dinner and the show, we went to the deck to watch the sunset and fireworks,” Hallie says. Once everyone went back into the ship and to their seats, Michael proposed. “The next day, Michael and I had the opportunity to share our exciting news and celebrate with his family at the reunion,” Hallie says.
The two were married eight months later at Stonegate Glass Chapel, and the couple and their guests enjoyed a reception at Weddings at Williamsbrooke. The two now live in Franklin, Tennessee, where Michael is the Director of Digital Marketing for Axe Wellness and Hallie is an account executive for The Marketing Store working with Infiniti.

Wedding guests lined the walkway of Stonegate Glass Chapel and showered the couple with bubbles after the ceremony.
Simply Delicious provided an assortment of miniature cupcakes for dessert. Lilly, Laura and Leia, Michael’s cousins, were flower girls in the ceremony. Hallie created several custom décor pieces to bring the reception venue to life, including the letter M, the letter H and an ampersand that she painted with gold paint.
