What You'll Need

• 5 oranges
• Wooden beads
• Scissors
• Natural twine
• Masking tape

Directions

Cut the oranges into slices, about ¼-inch thick. Pat each slice dry with a paper towel before placing on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake at 200ºF for around 4 hours, flipping the oranges every hour. Remove any of the thinner oranges that look completely dry throughout the process to avoid too much decolorization. You want the perfect combination of a bright orange to a rusty dark color on each slice. Remove from the oven and cool. Once cooled down, use scissors to poke 2 holes in the top of each orange slice. Cut your desired length of twine and cover the ends with masking tape to make it easier to thread. Thread the orange slices and beads onto the twine in any order you like. Remove the masking tape and tie off the ends to finish the garland once you have your desired length and look. The end result looks lovely strung across a fireplace mantel, hanging in a window or even on your Christmas tree!
