The FourOneSeven team is proud to announce that we are the winners of the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce’s 2025 W. Curtis Strube Small Business Award! The finalists for this award are selected based on written applications covering company history, management philosophy, responses to challenges, innovation in product and service offerings and contributions to the community. Entries were reviewed and scored by an independent panel of judges.
2024 was a big year for FourOneSeven, with a full rebrand of the flagship 417 Magazine publication covering everything from the logo to the overarching mission statement for the whole company that launched in September. On Wednesday, May 28, 2025 that work was rewarded at the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce’s 2025 W. Curtis Strube Small Business Award luncheon held at the Drury University O’Reilly Family Event Center.
“[My parents] had a vision for 417,” said Publisher Logan Aguirre during her acceptance speech at the event, calling back to Gary and Joan Whitaker, her parents and former owners of 417 Magazine. “My dad used to say every issue was a love letter to his hometown. That hometown has become mine too, and it’s the greatest honor to keep those letters going.”
Aguirre also recognized the team at FourOneSeven, also in attendance at the event. “While I get to stand here and accept the award, I’m just one piece of a big, beating heart. That heart is my team, showing our love today by all wearing 417 red. You are the magic. Your talent, your creativity, your hustle and heart—it shows in everything we do. This award is for you.”
The FourOneSeven team congratulates our fellow 2025 nominees; Advanced Car Care Center, Kids Inn Child Care Center, Kinetic Design + Development and Maxon Fine Jewelry. We’re always so proud to be included with the businesses that make our community what it is. We’d also like to thank you, our readers and wider audience, for helping us get here and still be able to take new steps on this journey after more than 25 years. It’s thanks to you that we’re able to be here and do what we do, For the Ozarks.
“We’re proud to be for the Ozarks,” says Aguirre. “And today, we’re proud of the Ozarks.”
