A Tribute to the Creeks That Shape the Ozarks

Inside the Branson Convention Center, every meeting room is named after a local waterway—Fall Creek, Short Creek, Cooper Creek, Roark Creek and Compton Ferry—paying homage to the streams that wind through Branson’s hills before flowing into Lake Taneycomo just steps away.

These 10 flexible rooms range from 1,300 to 5,500 square feet and can be tailored for groups of 10 to more than 500. “Whether set for intimate board meetings, strategic planning sessions or dynamic breakout discussions, each room carries the essence of its namesake: adaptable, life-giving and rooted in connection,” says Jordan Cannefax, Director of Sales and Marketing at Branson Convention Center.

Like the creeks that nourish the Ozarks, these rooms inspire collaboration and creativity to flow naturally.

The Ferry That Linked Communities

Among the creek-inspired spaces, Compton Ferry honors one of the earliest crossings on Lake Taneycomo. Long before bridges and highways, ferries like this one carried travelers, merchants and families across the water, connecting lives and communities on both shores.

That same spirit of connection lives on inside the Branson Convention Center today. Here, event organizers and attendees from across the country come together to share ideas, celebrate milestones and build lasting partnerships.

The Taneycomo Ballroom: The Heart of It All

At the center of the Branson Convention Center is the Taneycomo Ballroom, a versatile 22,703-square-foot space that can be divided into two sections or opened up to host events of up to 2,500 guests each.

Like its namesake lake—the heartbeat of downtown Branson—the ballroom is a place where people come together to connect and celebrate. With clean architectural lines, modern lighting and natural tones, it captures the calm beauty of Lake Taneycomo while offering a flexible backdrop for all kinds of events.

Where Nature and Networking Flow Together

In Branson, the outdoors isn’t just scenery, it’s part of the experience. Between sessions, attendees can explore scenic Ozarks trails, take a dinner cruise on Lake Taneycomo or catch live entertainment just steps away.

“Here, events are more fun,” Cannefax says. “Conversations extend beyond the conference table to the golf course, lakeside patios and mountain overlooks. And when the day’s agenda winds down, Branson’s warm hospitality and endless attractions ensure there’s always something new to discover.”

A Destination That Connects Naturally

The Branson Convention Center is more than a venue; it’s a reflection of the region’s enduring connection to its landscape and its people. Each name, each space and each view celebrate the natural beauty and community spirit that define Branson.

“Here, where creeks flow into the lake and stories ripple through every corridor, guests don’t just attend events, they become part of Branson’s ongoing story,” Cannefax says.
