Prep for Spring Gardening in the Fall
It’s not too late to get your hands dirty and prep a flower garden—you just won’t reap the benefits until spring.

According to local experts and gardening pros, this month is the perfect time to plant flower bulbs if you want to see your garden filled with your favorite sweet-smelling perennials next spring. Planting them is super-easy, but first you need to find them. We rounded up a few great nurseries that carry a variety of flower bulbs—from tiny periwinkle-colored crocuses that sprout super-early in the season to enormous, frilly tulips that will pop up a little later on, and fragrant cylinders of hyacinth in pastel hues.
