Misty Hampshire with Farmers Gastropub

When Misty Hampshire and her husband, Andy, heard the previous owners of Farmers Gastropub (2620 S. Glenstone Ave., Springfield, MO, 417-864-6994) were looking to sell the restaurant and retire, they jumped at the opportunity. “With Andy being British, a British-themed pub seems like the perfect fit for us,” Misty says. “They were already located in the Brentwood Center, so we embraced that and have developed the equivalent of your ‘local’ pub in England.”

Misty handles the business side of things, while Andy runs the day-to-day operations. “We both approach leadership with the idea of treating people the way we would want to be treated,” she says. She says her passion for food keeps her motivated each day, and in 2023, they opened their second restaurant, JW’s Kitchen.
