Moscow mules are hot right now. All of a sudden, we’re seeing those iconic copper cups in shops online and even at The Market in Springfield. They really are the perfect vehicle for a cold cocktail because the metal stays nice and cool—and looks attractive to boot! Our favorite new take on this trendy cocktail is the coriander mule from Metropolitan Farmer (2144 E. Republic Rd., Springfield, 417-720-1665). The ginger beer and lime add just a hint of sweetness without turning this into a sugary drink. And the savory flavor of the coriander is the star of the show—it’s added via coriander vodka and is simultaneously subtle and bold. It’s a perfect addition to your meal because it has a one-of-a-kind flavor that’ll have you reaching for another as soon as you empty your little copper cup, but it’s not so bold that it will overpower the taste of your meal. In fact, it complements it. It’s cocktail perfection.
