Winters might be harsh, but your seasonal cocktails shouldn’t be. Take cues from fine dining restaurants and prepare these drinks in the comfort of your own home. The Up in Smoke from Flame Steakhouse is a sweet cocktail that has an aftertaste of walnuts and cayenne. This oh-so-chocolatey libation is bound to satisfy your sweet and spicy cravings. The Order’s Chai Me is a bitter boy at first, but once you get to know him, you taste apple with a cinnamon-ginger finish. Enjoy these cocktails while you’re out on the town or mix them up and sip at home.

Up In Smoke

Serves 1

Ingredients
1½ ounces mezcal
1 ounce walnut liquor
3 ounces chilled hot chocolate
Cayenne pepper for dusting
Whipped cream for serving
Agave syrup

To Prepare
Combine mezcal, walnut liquor and chilled hot chocolate in a shaker. Lightly shake so you do not dilute the thick chocolate. Strain into your mug or glass. Garnish with whipped cream, a pinch of cayenne and a drizzle of agave syrup. (To make this a hot beverage, use the same method but with hot chocolate.)

Chai Me

Serves 1

Ingredients
1½ ounces apple brandy
3 dashes of Angostura bitters
2 ounces almond milk
1 ounce chai syrup (we recommend Torani)
Ginger extract
Ground cinnamon for dusting
Star anise for garnish

To Prepare
Combine apple brandy, bitters, almond milk, chai syrup, and a splash of ginger extract in a cocktail shaker. Shake it up and strain it into your mug or glass. Garnish with a dusting of cinnamon and star anise. (You can also make this a hot beverage by warming up the almond milk.)
