Putt Around on a Boat

It wouldn’t be a lake getaway without some boat time. You can rent a boat from Lake Norfork Marina to putt around on the 42-mile-long lake. The shoreline is quiet and hasn’t been built up, which means your lake time will be low-key and relaxing without the crowds of busier Ozarks lakes.

Sandy Beaches

It’s true. There really are sandy beaches that you can daytrip to from southwest Missouri. They might be on a lake instead of the ocean, and they might be a little smaller than your summer vacation beaches. But some scenic spots along Lake Norfork in northern Arkansas really are covered in fine white sand. Visit norforklakechamber.com/norfork-lake-beaches to find info for your trip.

Fill up on Fried Fish

After your day on the water, you need a filling meal before you head home. Fred’s Fish House in Mountain Home is located just across the lake from the marina, and the menu is all about fried catfish and all the fixings. Enjoy!
