Colton's Kimchi Kaboom Sauce from Golden Girl Rum Club

We’re suckers for a good hot sauce, and we’re crazy about kimchi. So imagine our joy when we found out that you can get Colton’s Kimchi Kaboom Sauce in bottles from The Golden Girl Rum Club (137 Park Central Square, Springfield, 417-425-5162). They’ve been making the sauce using the fermented juices of homemade kimchi and serving it on some of the spot’s dishes. Thanks to the kimchi base and ingredients like Korean red pepper and pineapple juice, the sauce is funky and spicy and a lot more surprising than your typical bottle of heat. The fact that we can bring it home now instead of just tasting it at Golden Girl is two-thumbs-up.
