One way to spruce up your plating when cooking at home is to use microgreens. These baby versions of your favorite vegetables and greens like peas, broccoli and basil are big in color and flavor. They are also extra-tender and packed with up to 50 percent more nutrients than their full-grown versions. You can toss a handful onto a sandwich, use a few pretty sprigs to garnish a salad or throw some into a smoothie. Find beautiful, fresh microgreens from Springfield-based City Micro Farms during the summer at Farmers Market of the Ozarks.
