Calling all beer lovers, this is a month you won’t want to miss. At age 20, Jennifer Miller was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor and spent the next eight years fighting her way back to health. She started a local nonprofit called Team A.N.A. 417 (which stands for “Acoustic Neuroma Awareness”) to support and educate the local community. Last year, the nonprofit partnered with Great Escape Beer Works (4022 S. Lone Pine Ave, Springfield; 417-824-4043) to brew a specialty craft beer during the month of May, also known as brain tumor awareness month. This year, it’s happening again. Starting in mid-May, Imbalanced Wit will be available on tap and can be picked up curbside and through online orders. Plus, a portion of sales will be donated to the nonprofit.
