If you’re like us, you’re probably already a fan of the mint tea at Van Gogh’s Eeterie (334 E. Commercial St., Springfield). It’s the definition of finding delight in simplicity. It’s lightly sweetened and is made from a big sprig of fresh mint and hot water. They serve it in a glass mug, so you can see the pretty mint leaves. But here’s a hot tip: Did you know that you can order it with a stroopwafel? They bring it out with the stroopwafel on top of the mug. The heat from the tea rises up to warm the stroopwafel, making the caramel center soft and chewy-gooey. This mug of comfort is the perfect thing to wrap your hands around after a chilly morning walk down C-street.
