Where to Pick Apples and Peaches Around Springfield
These local southwest Missouri orchards offer pick-your-own apples and more throughout the fall season in the Ozarks.

Sunshine Valley Farm

Murphy Orchard
255 N. Highway 60, Marionville
They
offer a wide variety of, from favorites like Jonathan to more uncommon
offerings like the long-storing Arkansas Black. You-pick is only offered
in September, but the farmstand sells apples and other items all season
long, like pumpkins and fall grapes.

Gardener’s Orchard & Bakery
4455 W. Farm Road 2, Brighton
This
is one of those places that’s hopping all through fall. You can head
there to pick apples in September and October and fill your pantry with
fresh fruit. Or, you can go to visit a sunflower field, to explore a
pumpkin patch, to pick your own zinnia bouquet, to get lost in a corn
maze and to run around in a whole field full of fun stuff for kids to
do. Don’t miss the apple cider donuts and cider slushes when you need a
snack.

Purple Gate Farm
416 Poplar Dr., Highlandville
This
little farm located in Highlandville raises several free-range animals
and grows a ton of herbs—alongside an orchard filled with apples, of
course. You can stop by to pick your own from a handful of varieties.
The farm also produces a ton of other stuff, like lotion bars and duck,
quail and chicken eggs that you can find at Well N Good Health Market in
Nixa.

Farmers Market of the Ozarks
2144 E. Republic Road, Springfield
If
you can’t make it out to a farmstand or to pick your own apples (or
just want something a little more convenient and one-stop-shop-ish), try
a weekend visit to Farmers Market of the Ozarks. The market stocks
locally grown apples from several nearby farms, such as Sunshine Valley
and Murphy Orchard (mentioned above), and A&A Orchard based in
northwest Arkansas.
Gordon’s Orchard
Highway 13, SE 250 Rd, Collins
Take your family and friends alongside you to visit this peach orchard with a variety of different peaches to choose from.
Peach Tree Farm

Snag peaches from the Peach Tree Farm cabin or at local farmers markets.
