Cinnamon Rosemary Old-Fashioned
This bourbon-based and cinnamon-spiked recipe is a perfect evening drink to enjoy beside a roaring fire.
½ cup honey
½ cup water
6 sprigs of rosemary (or can omit based on
3 cinnamon sticks
3 dashes Angostura bitters
2 ounces bourbon
1 orange peel
Rosemary sprig for garnish, optional
Make a simple syrup by combining the honey, water, rosemary sprigs and cinnamon sticks in a small pot. Bring to a boil until liquid thickens. Let cool. Add four teaspoons of the simple syrup and bitters, then swirl the syrup and bitters in glass. Add bourbon, ice and orange peel and stir.
