Toast Downtown Springfield with the Nightfall Draft Cocktail at Vantage

Anyone who knows me well can confirm that I am a certified night owl, moon worshipper, witch wannabe and chronic insomniac. Life’s just a little better at night, okay? Lately I’ve been basking in the moonlight at Vantage Rooftop Lounge & Conservatory (260 E. McDaniel St., Springfield, 417-851-1768). While I’ve been soaking up views of our twinkly city from above, I’ve fallen under the spell of Vantage’s Nightfall draft cocktail. Deliciously tart and dangerously strong, it combines aged rum, Giffard ginger syrup, Rothman & Winter Orchard Pear Liqueur and lime juice with a light spritz of Menthe Pastille mint liqueur and a fragrant mint garnish. What about this drink evokes “nightfall” I do not know, but I do know I want to drink it all night, every night, and for me that’s good enough.
