Fair Grove native Laine Smith has been taking photos professionally for five years. Specializing in Western lifestyle photography, Smith captures all of her photos while on horseback. She snapped this photo of Darrell Cribbs gathering cattle at Bar 7/Squibb Cattle Company in Dadeville on an early morning last summer. “We rode out before sunrise to herd the cows, and I took this shot right when the sun crested,” Smith says.
