5 Best Drink Flights

Sometimes you meet up with friends for drinks after work, and one kind of wine doesn’t sound like it will cut it.

1. Mini Martini Flight

Why It’s Great: These petite cocktails are tiny and adorable. The cocktail options for this flight are all fruity, and they offer clever combos. We tried the sweet-tart key lime pie mini, the tropical-tasting mandarin mini and the zippy hibiscus mini with an edible flower rim.

What to Order on the Side: Fries! The Parmesan Frites offer maximum crispiness with three sauces: chipotle ketchup, garlic-Parmesan and truffle mayo.

 

2. Scotch Flight

Why It’s Great: Whiskey fans will love the handful of options for Scotch flights. Each one features six ¾-ounce portions. For beginners, there’s an Introduction to Scotch flight. If you’re a true connoisseur, the $250 Quarter Centurion flight offers rare sips.

What to Order on the Side: Anything off of the late-night waffle menu. There are even a couple of fun combos like bacon and chocolate chip.

 

3. Wine Flight

What to Order on the Side: We especially love the salmon skewers—rare salmon with crispy breading and luscious mustard sauce.

 

4. Coffee Flight

What to Order on the Side: Order some coffee beans to go so you can enjoy a perfect cup at home. 

 

5. Beer Flight

Why It’s Great: We love supporting tasty homegrown 417-land brews, and the beer flight at Brew Co. lets us taste six 4-ounce glasses of ales and lagers—all at once! Make sure to try Paul’s Pale Ale while you’re sampling; it’s delicious.

What to Order on the Side: The Artisan Pretzels are soft, warm and the perfect partner to a cool beer.
