Try the Light, Bright Spritz from The Order

If you’ve stepped foot in a bar with even a halfway decent cocktail program this past summer, you’ve more than likely seen an Aperol spritz on the menu. This classic Italian cocktail has been making quite the comeback, and it’s popping up just about everywhere. Never one to be left behind, The Order (305 E. Walnut St., Springfield, 417-851-5299) has jumped on the Aperol spritz train—but not without putting its own twist on the drink. The It’s Got La Croix in It cocktail takes the basics of an Aperol spritz (Aperol, Prosecco, soda water and lime juice) and ratchets up the fun a few notches. I mean, who can resist a cocktail named It’s Got La Croix in It? The aforementioned La Croix is coconut flavored and takes the place of soda water. Substitute grapefruit juice for lime juice and add a splash of raspberry liquor, and you have a drink not to be missed. On that note, sip on this bad boy before it goes off the menu in early October.
