Hunter and Annie met in high school on a church trip when they sat next to each other on the bus. Annie was very shy, but Hunter was outgoing and ended up getting her number before the trip was over. Since that bus ride, they have talked every single day. Annie says that meeting so young came with its own set of challenges, but that in their five years of dating Hunter has helped her through severe health issues and family difficulties and has continued to brighten her day and make her laugh through it all. Annie says that she knew he was the one she could spend the rest of her life with.

When it came to the proposal, Annie was completely surprised. Hunter had told her they were meeting friends for dinner, but he led her to a spot by the lake where he got down on one knee and proposed. Shortly after, it started pouring rain, but that didn’t dampen the happiness and excitement Annie and Hunter felt about spending forever together.

Annie and Hunter have always been more of a private couple, and they wanted to make sure they saved some time for just them on their wedding day. To make this day special for them personally, they did a first look and private vows before their ceremony. Annie also knew she wanted to do something special with her mom, so she planned a mother-daughter dance as a part of their reception. To end the night, Annie and Hunter had a private last dance before their send-off. Annie says they were able to have some time alone together, and the feelings of the day really sunk in. Annie says she is still so grateful to do life with Hunter because they have fun together, they’ve been best friends for so long and they’ve really learned how to work well together in their marriage.
