What it Tastes Like: The owners of Scotch & Soda are bringing back the art of the cocktail with high-end Scotch and whiskey and classy cocktails. You can also find Busch tall boys in a can, along with 12 beers on tap. Its tagline is “a modern spin on classic cocktails and gourmet bar eats.” That pretty much sums it up.  What you’ll find here are handcrafted cocktails that the owners have put thought into. The ingredients are fresh, and the menu will be ever-changing. The drink we tried was the Belgian Blood & Sand. It consists of Famous Grouse Blended Scotch, fresh-squeezed orange juice and Dolin Rouge (a type of vermouth), and it’s topped with Kastele Rouge (a sour cherry Belgian ale). From the picture it does not look like you get much. But trust us, it packs a punch. The combination of the beer and orange juice quiets the Scotch flavor and adds a nice hint of sweetness. These are dangerous because they go down so smoothly.—Dylan Whitaker
