Chantilly’s Artisan Bakery puts an emphasis on freshness, so get to this local bakery for breakfast and sample some of the best fare in West Plains, both savory and sweet. Chantilly’s goods are organic and locally sourced and range from fresh salads and sandwiches to strawberry and chocolate cream tarts.

West Plains Historic Murals

Springfield isn’t the only place in 417- land with Insta worthy murals. Just off Court Square is a mural depicting the history of West Plains from 1800 to 1996 created by artist Michael McClure. The mural has been maintained over the years, so you can still get a colorful selfie with some local history.

Poppy’s Boutique

403 Washington Ave., West Plains
If you’re feeling inspired by taking a selfie in front of the mural, head to the nearby Poppy’s Boutique for some shopping. This downtown boutique carries a variety of brands like E Luna and Hidden Valley and is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

10/40 Coffee

128 Garfield Ave., West Plains
10/40 Coffee is a short distance from the square, just off the Missouri State University West Plains campus. It’s the perfect place to drop after you shop and take some time out. Fresh coffee, a friendly atmosphere and a variety of pastries are on offer from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday. 

Downtown Antiques

1 Court Square, West Plains
Downtown Antiques is a 22,000- square -foot an tique mall overlooking Court Square and is the perfect place for some vintage item hunting. If you didn’t get your fill of coffee at 10/40, Down town Antiques also houses the Window on the Square Coffee Shop. The mall is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
