About Charles Woodall, III MD
Dr. Charles Woodall received his medical degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine and has been in practice for seven years. His multidisciplinary medical knowledge allows you to get the treatment needed while staying in 417-land. He is the only fellowship-trained surgical oncologist in southwest Missouri. He specializes in melanoma, liver, pancreas, stomach and esophagus cancer. Dr. Woodall’s approach to liver cancers is something that was only available in St. Louis or Little Rock until recently. CoxHealth, Ferrell-Duncan Clinic, Dr. Woodall and a team of physicians have created a comprehensive liver center that provides a multidisciplinary approach to formulate new treatment plans for liver cancer patients. As a surgical endoscopist, one of the procedures he offers is a screening colonoscopy. Unlike mammograms that solely detect cancer, colonoscopy can prevent cancer by detecting abnormal growths called polyps. They are removed for analysis to detect if they are cancerous. Because cancer begins in polyps, removing them is an imperative means of preventing colorectal cancer. Not only passionate about his professional work, Dr. Woodall devotes much of his free time to the CoxHealth Colorectal Awareness Program and Major Don’s Army. Stopping one cancer makes a difference, and Dr. Woodall and the CoxHealth team will stop many more.
