Springfield’s New Hy-Vee
Are you as excited for this new store as I am? Opening on Tuesday February 22, the new Hy-Vee (2150 E. Sunshine St., Springfield) store is one of the company’s first “entirely reimagined” concepts with much more than just groceries. It has the usual departments that the store is known for as well as a DSW shoe store, a Joe Fresh clothing department and more. I personally love these stores because they tend to carry really unique ingredients that I normally don’t find anywhere else. Shoppers, get ready for an exciting new flavor world.
Mother’s Cider
One of our favorite 417-land breweries is making its own hard cider and you know it’s going to be delicious. Mother’s Brewing Company, known for a steady flow of creative craft beers, has mastered the art of flavor in a bottle. Now they’re applying those skills to hard cider. For the time being, you can find Flip Cider on draft at the tasting room and soon in select bars and restaurants around town.
Private Dinner at Cherry Picker
Okay, so Cherry Picker is already a super cute little place filled with wine bottles and delicious food. We love to hang out inside or outside this tiny, adorable building but what about a dinner event from a private chef? A food and wine pairing event with a 14-seat availability for $100 is happening this Sunday, February 20 with Chef Anna Taylor curating the tasty treats and Vintegrity Wine and Spirits offering a great selection of wine to complement and highlight the flavors of the food. Vineyard Market’s New Menu
Don’t you just love a place where you can get delicious wine and delicious food while just being able to chat and have a great time? I’ve always felt like Vineyard Market is one of those places, and now they have launched a brand-new menu. The food side of it includes new, small plates and appetizers, three new entrees and three new pizzas plus of course all new desserts. I also can’t forget that they have a new wine list that should pair perfectly well with all this new and exciting food. Check out our review of Vineyard Market.
