And on Saturday, guests can try the five-course truffle-centric menu with wine pairings for $195 per couple plus $35 per person for the wine pairings. Love at First Bite

Askinosie Chocolate has just released a new bar brimming with fruity flavor. The (White) Chocolate-Covered Strawberry Bar features real organic strawberries in a white chocolate base with hints of beets and black pepper. And we love the combo of black pepper and strawberry (it’s honestly so good!), so we can’t wait to give this new bar a taste.

It’s Almost Time!

Back in October, we told you about Traza, the new restaurant from Catrina’s Modern Mexican owner Alejandro Hernandez that is coming soon to the rooftop restaurant space at Farmers Park. You can read our write-up about the contemporary international food spot here. Well, did you see that their sign is now up on the side of Farmers Park? Won’t be long now, folks. And we are so, so excited!

A Smashing Event

You know and love Druff’s for their creative takes on cheesy grilled sandwiches. But this week (Thursday, January 26, 5–9 p.m.) they are having a special event that features a different indulgent delight: smashburgers. During Druff’s After Dark: Smashburgers, you can get two types of smashburgers, cheesy-bacon tots and beer.

Where’s the Beef?

Springfield’s first Beef-A-Roo is about to open at 1411 W. Kearney St. This fast-casual restaurant has a strong following in its home state of Rockford, Illinois. They’re known for roast beef sandwiches, burgers, seasoned cheese fries, soups, salads and more. The grand opening is this Friday, January 27—and the first 100 guests win free cheese fries for a year.

Two Peas in a Pod

Springfood, a podcast all about the Springfield food scene, ended its run a year and a half ago. But they’re back! They just announced that they are doing a five-episode run. The first episode came out last week, and the second came out today. Give them a listen!

We Got Chills, They’re Multiplyin’

There’s snow in the forecast for tonight and tomorrow, and that calls for some sledding with the kids, right? But after the snowy fun, be sure to cuddle up in some warm and cozy flavors. Start out by making a big bowl of snow ice cream, the make a few cups of some truly delightful homemade hot cocoa (with the option to spike it for the adults). That’s how you do a snow day right.
